Live Drafts is a chance to see the beginnings of shows. It’s about seeing theatre that is in-progress, with you defining what it’s future will be. In this edition of Live Drafts, four artists will present four fizzing new ideas untangling and exploring the climate emergency in new and unexpected ways.
Rice and Husk | Camilla Anvar
Amazônia | Gaël Le Cornec

“WHO DOESN’T WANT TO BE IN THE AUDIENCE FOR THE MOMENT A BRILLIANT IDEA STARTS TO COME TO LIFE?” - Evening Standard
Rice and Husk | Camilla Anvar
A truck crashes.
Rice spills.
Kilograms!
Kilograms and kilograms of rice!
Camilla Anvar follows the journey of a single grain of rice from a field in Asia, to a mouth in the UK, reflecting on the environmental and human cost of farming.
Weaving together stories from the BESEA (British East and South East Asian) Community, personal narratives and poetry, Rice and Husk explores the politics of food.
Camilla Anvar is working with the artists and crafts maker community of Fish Island.
